Infused waters have been all the rage lately. I like the idea as it’s sort of like herbal tea made with fresh ingredients. We all need to drink more water daily. Making water a bit different and exciting can make drinking it more enjoyable. Who doesn’t love sipping a drink with a beautiful garnish through a straw or switching up plain old tap water for some delicious sparkling water? It makes it much more fun!
In my drink I used one lemon, some strawberries, and a handful of fresh mint. I cut up these ingredients and put them in a juice pitcher filled with sparkling water.
We have a SodaStream carbonation machine so that we can enjoy sparkling water at home. Jordan became addicted to “bubbly water” and saunas while we lived in Germany. He said he felt a lot healthier when he was drinking a lot of sparkling water daily and going to the sauna a few nights a week. The combination is incredible for getting rid of toxins and replenishing the body. Jordan will still occasionally go to the sauna now, but doesn’t always get the chance to. Luckily I was able to give him a SodaStream for his birthday so that he could continue to drink more water (it’s much more exciting than straight out of the tap).
Life is better with a straw and a fancy garnish isn’t it? Or maybe what makes life good is being able to spending time with your loved ones and take care of your mind and body.
